HOW WE STARTED
Our roots go back to 1985 as a construction company. While building custom homes for clients throughout the DMV area, we began to see a demand from clients for backup power. So, as part of our construction services, we integrated a team to install backup generator systems as well. Bethesda Power Systems was born. The blizzard of 1996 changed everything for us. After power was knocked out at unprecedented levels - the need for backup power became a top priority for our community.
We specialize exclusively in the sales, engineering design, installation, and maintenance of automatic standby generator systems (Diesel, NG and LP). Today we offer backup power to residential, commercial, industrial, and government applications. We have worked hard to earn ourselves a strong reputation of high quality and customer service, as one of the most trusted generator companies in the region.
OUR TEAM
Our in-house team of engineers, master electricians and gas fitters, diesel mechanics and factory certified technicians all have construction experience, and are very familiar with fire and building codes as well as local county ordinances and regulations.
We have an in-house gas specialist with 35-years of experience, and our principals each have over 40-years of experience in the construction and generator business.
We are authorized sales dealers for Caterpillar, Coleman, Generac, Briggs and Stratton, and Cummings.
Our office is located in Bethesda, Maryland and our shop is located in Bowie, Maryland, at the same locations since 1985.
